9 june 2020

Another late night last night. I felt less tired than the night before since I took some naps. As before the seeing did not get good until midnight, and even then it wasn't above 7/10 -- so I kept the 8-inch mask on much of the time. Transparency remained a problem, so fainter stars were more difficult. A nice night and I was surprised how many I observed. I stayed in a mostly 10-degree band in the sky to minimize the slewing noise and to keep myself on a ladder -- I hardly changed position at all. A very Herschelian way of observing.
