long night

Last night was predicted to be very clear, transparent, and with good then excellent seeing during the early hours of the 15th. I decided to stay out as long as I was able to take advantage of it, since I was observing from home and could just sleep in this morning. I observed from 9pm to 3:30am, when seeing started to deteriorate, haze started to build, and my tiredness was leading me to mistakes (the scope hit the ladder twice while slewing). Overall it was a great night; seeing was not perfect but a respectable 7/10. There was still some low haze but it didn't bother me too much. I was able to go after some of the Short Period list objects, and made some notable observations. I used my apodizing mask throughout the night. It was not an entirely quiet night: there was a loud vacuum type of sound coming from the direction of 880, I presume some road construction, which did not end until after 1am.  I stayed out long enough to see the moon rise, in near conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn.
