la luna

We've been plagued with clouds and marine layer fog the last week or more, so little observing to report.  I've tried to occupy my time creating more double star finders for constellations coming up.

Last night was relatively clear, but with torn shreds of marine layer passing overhead.  I had about 40 minutes of views of the moon, mostly along the terminator at 277x.  It's odd to me that the seeing was pretty good even with the marine layer blowing overhead.  As more fox moved in I switched to 71x 1.1 degree FOV to take in the whole scene. The moon was very sharp with plenty of fine detail -- a good way to train the eye to pick out small detail.

Might have some clear weather the next few days so hope for better results...
